Soccer Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is Lowell's Sixth in Last Seven Outings

Lowell won the last time they faced Marshall and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Lowell Cardinals walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Marshall Phoenix. Given the Cardinals' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 466th, while the Phoenix are ranked 1159th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lowell is also on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 26 goals over those seven matches. As for Marshall, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Coincidentally, Lowell and Marshall will both be playing San Francisco International the next time they take the pitch. Lowell will host San Francisco International at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Marshall will host them at 3:30 p.m. on February 6th.
