Baseball Recap: Sand Creek Comes Up Short

The Sand Creek Scorpions didn't have quite enough to beat the Severance Silver Knights on Friday and fell 7-6.

Braden Hunnanm made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Another player making a difference was Avyn Walter, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.

Sand Creek's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Severance, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-4 record this season.

Coincidentally, Sand Creek and Severance will both be playing Widefield the next time they take the field. Severance will head out to face Widefield at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, while Sand Creek will host them at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
