Soccer Game Preview: Southeast vs. Elgin

The Southeast Spartans will venture away from home to square off against the Elgin Owls at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Southeast knows how to get goals on the board -- the team has finished with four goals or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Elgin likes a good challenge.

Southeast barely beat Altus the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Spartans blew past the Bulldogs 8-0 on Thursday. The final result isn't all the surprising considering Southeast's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma soccer rankings (they are ranked 11th, while Altus are ranked 110th).

Meanwhile, Elgin came up short against MacArthur on Thursday and fell 4-2. The loss continues a trend for Elgin in their meetings with MacArthur: they've now lost four in a row.

Elgin's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Southeast, their win bumped their record up to 14-3.
