Basketball Recap: St. Michael Takes a Loss

St. Michael was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were dealt a 73-36 loss at the hands of the San Carlos Braves. The match marked the Cardinals' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

St. Michael's record is now 1-6. As for San Carlos, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.

St. Michael will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Ray at 7:00 p.m. on January 2, 2025. As for San Carlos, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Valley knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven contests -- so hopefully San Carlos likes a good challenge.
