Football Game Preview: Beech Buccaneers vs. Lawson Lightning + How To Watch

The Beech Buccaneers will square off against the Lawson Lightning at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Beech will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.

Beech is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Hendersonville: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Buccaneers blew the Commandos out of the water with a 49-16 final score. Considering the Buccaneers have won six contests by more than 28 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Dk Williams and Jack Becker were among the main playmakers for Beech as the former rushed for 117 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries and the latter gained 104 total yards. That's the most rushing touchdowns Williams has posted since back in October of 2024.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Beech was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 330 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Lawson suffered their closest loss since September 20, 2024 on Thursday. They fell just short of Lawrence County by a score of 16-14. The Lightning have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lawson's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Beech, their win bumped their record up to 9-1.
