Basketball Recap: Teo Marr's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Bernalillo over Miyamura + How To Watch

Bernalillo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 44-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Miyamura Patriots. The Spartans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Patriots apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2024.

Several Spartans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Teo Marr, who posted six points and five steals. Anthony Willie was another key player, putting up three points.

Miyamura can attribute much of their success to Juan Arellano, who shot 63% from the field to rack up 11 points and five steals. Those 11 points gave Arellano a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Tateyn Silversmith, who scored six points and seven rebounds.

Bernalillo's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Miyamura, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Looking ahead, Bernalillo will be taking part in a tournament against Pojoaque Valley at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday. As for Miyamura, they will take on Cleveland in a tournament on Thursday.
