Volleyball Recap: Alicia Valle and Vanessa Quinto Secure Win for Kerman

Kerman won the last time they faced Minarets and things went their way on Saturday too. The Lions walked away with a 2-0 win over the Mustangs. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lions.

Leading Kerman to victory were Vanessa Quinto and Alicia Valle. Quinto had five digs and two aces, while Valle had six digs and one assist. Quinto is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Kerman's victory bumped their record up to 17-7. As for Minarets, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-12-1.

Coming up, Kerman will challenge Selma at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Lions' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Minarets, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Sunnyside on the 20th.
