Baseball Recap: Whitehall Extends Winning Streak to Six

Whitehall came tearing into Tuesday's game with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.6 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 6-1 win over the Allentown Central Catholic Vikings. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 5-4 on April 9th.

The team relied heavily on Tyler Reichenbach, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since April 1st. Zack Schaedel was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one double.

Whitehall pushed their record up to 13-4 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.2 runs over those games. As for Allentown Central Catholic, they moved to 11-6 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Whitehall will take on rival Emmaus at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Allentown Central Catholic is set to square off against their familiar foe William Allen at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday.
