Basketball Recap: Lexington Continues Home Dominance on Monday

There's no place like home for Lexington, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They snuck past the Chrisman Bears with a 51-47 win on Monday. Given the Minutemen's advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 213th, while the Bears are ranked 464th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lexington pushed their record up to 7-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.8 points per game. As for Chrisman, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lexington will face off against St. Paul Lutheran at 7:00 p.m. on January 7th. As for Chrisman, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Raytown at 7:00 p.m. on January 14th.
