Football Recap: Lakin Comes Up Short

Lakin was the 38-20 winner over Cimarron when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Broncs lost 31-7 to the Bluejays on Friday. The Broncs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

McCoy Nash continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Cimarron, rushing for 247 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 12.4 yards per carry. With that strong performance, Nash is now averaging an impressive 122 rushing yards per game.

Lakin's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Cimarron, their win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-2.

Coming up, Lakin will challenge Southwestern Heights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Cimarron, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Larned at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
