Basketball Game Preview: Harvard Cardinals vs. Kenesaw Blue Devils

Harvard hasn't had much luck against Kenesaw recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The two teams will face off at 5:30 p.m. without much rest having both just played. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Harvard is headed into Saturday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 30th straight game dating back to last season on Friday. They took a blow against Red Cloud, falling 68-16. The Cardinals were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-6.

Despite the defeat, Harvard saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Tabi Forney posted 11 points and eight rebounds. That was a full 68.8% of Harvard's points, marking the fifth time in a row she's put up more than a third of the team's points.

Meanwhile, Kenesaw ended up a good deal behind Wilcox-Hildreth on Friday and lost 44-30. The Blue Devils have struggled against the Falcons recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Kenesaw's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Harvard, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-10.

Harvard took a serious blow against Kenesaw in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, falling 57-11. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Harvard was down 37-5.
