Softball Game Preview: Person Rockets vs. Southern Alamance Patriots

The Person Rockets will take on the Southern Alamance Patriots at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Person is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak.

Last Tuesday, Person came up short against Orange and fell 13-8. Even though they lost, the Rockets' still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.1 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

Madison Snead made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs while going 2-for-4. Camryn Clarke was another key player, scoring a run while going 3-for-3.

Meanwhile, Southern Alamance started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Cedar Ridge. They lost 14-4 to the Fighting Red Wolves last Wednesday.

Southern Alamance dropped their record down to 8-9 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Person, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-12.

Person came out on top in a nail-biter against Southern Alamance when the teams last played back in March, sneaking past 10-9. Do the Rockets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Patriots turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
