Basketball Recap: Eminence Piles Up the Points Against Victory College Prep

Eminence waltzed into their matchup on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Victory College Prep Bulldogs 59-12. The Eels have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 21 points or more this season.

Eminence got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Sophia Saucerman out in front who posted 29 points. Saucerman's evening made it five games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Khloee Kirk, who had 17 points.

Eminence is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 18.9 points per game. As for Victory College Prep, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eminence will be taking part in a tournament against Riverton Parke at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Victory College Prep, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Indiana Math & Science Academy North at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
