Recap: Priddy Pirates vs. Sidney Eagles

In what's become a running theme this season, the Priddy Pirates gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 63-24 win over Sidney on the road. Given Priddy's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 672nd, while Sidney is ranked 1504th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Priddy found their leader in underclassman Amber Grelle, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and seven steals. Grelle hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Natalie Seider, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and five steals.

Priddy pushed their record up to 17-3 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 38 points. As for Sidney, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-15.

Priddy will take on Brookesmith at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Priddy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Tuesday. Sidney does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
