Soccer Recap: Commerce Takes a Loss

The Commerce Tigers lost 8-2 to the Lumpkin County Indians on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Commerce can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 327th, while Lumpkin County are ranked 95th).

Commerce has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. As for Lumpkin County, their win bumped their record up to 11-3.

Commerce and Lumpkin County will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Tigers see the pitch they'll take on Winder-Barrow at 5:30 p.m. on the 15th. As for Lumpkin County, their break will end when they face Union County at 5:30 p.m. on the 17th.
