Baseball Recap: Beverly Hills Drops Highest Score of Season Against Ambassador

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Beverly Hills). They blew past the Ambassador Lions 13-3 on Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Normans.

Matthew Recupero made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four). He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-3. That run was his first of the season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Cameron Park, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. That triple marked the first that he hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Ibarra, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Beverly Hills was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive games.

Beverly Hills' record is now 2-7-1. As for Ambassador, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Beverly Hills will head out to take on Hawthorne at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ambassador, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Animo Leadership at 2:00 p.m. on April 30.
