Baseball Recap: Solon Find Success

Algona typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Solon proved too difficult a challenge. They had just enough and edged out the Bulldogs 12-11. Solon's win was all the more impressive since the Bulldogs were averaging only 3.41 runs allowed on the season.

Solon now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Algona, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Solon will challenge Williamsburg at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Spartans are facing the Raiders at the right time seeing as the Raiders are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Algona, they will take on Hampton-Dumont/CAL at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
