Basketball Recap: Wood County Christian Wins Going Away Against Paden City

Wood County Christian's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 42-22 margin over the Paden City Wildcats. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 50-19 two weeks ago.

Despite the loss, Paden City still got an impressive performance from Ashton Wade, who posted 14 points. That was a full 63.6% of Paden City's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's scored more than a third of the team's points. Kimberly Burch was another key player, putting up eight points.

Wood County Christian's victory bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Paden City, their loss was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-10.

Wood County Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 46-24 defeat against Shenandoah on the 3rd. As for Paden City, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 40-33 win against Hundred on the 3rd.
