Basketball Recap: Destin Takes a Loss

Destin played a tough match on Monday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 68-22 defeat at the hands of the Paxton Bobcats. The Sharks haven't had much luck with the Bobcats recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Paxton found their leader in sophomore Marley McClelland, who posted 12 points. The dominant performance gave McClelland a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Kenzie Lassiter, who earned 11 points.

Destin's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Paxton, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-1.

Destin wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 57-42 defeat against Pensacola Catholic on the 10th. As for Paxton, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 70-46 win against Laurel Hill on the 10th.
