Basketball Recap: Staunton River Has No Trouble Against Franklin County

Staunton River hadn't done well against Franklin County recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Staunton River Golden Eagles took down the Franklin County Eagles 54-40. This was a revenge game for the Golden Eagles: when they faced off against the Eagles back in January, they had to take a 45-30 defeat.

Staunton River's victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-7 and their overall record up to 8-11. As for Franklin County, they dropped their record down to 4-13 with the loss, which was their 20th straight on the road dating back to last season.
