Baseball Recap: Northport Comes Up Short

If Northport was riding high fresh off their 7-0 takedown of Newfield on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tigers came up short against the Wolverines on Thursday, falling 13-1. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wolverines earlier this season, when they won 7-0.

Northport's loss dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Newfield, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-8 record this season.

While Northport had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:15 p.m. on Friday.
