Perry fought the good fight in their overtime game against Boone on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took an 83-78 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Boone Toreadors. One positive for the Bluejays, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Perry's loss dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Boone, the win made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 5-2.

Perry will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Nevada at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for Boone, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Bondurant-Farrar at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Boone knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Bondurant-Farrar likes a good challenge.
