Basketball Preview: Learning Foundation & Performing Arts Wolves vs. Skyline Prep Bengals

The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Learning Foundation & Performing Arts has seven straight victories, the Bengals have four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Last Wednesday, Learning Foundation & Performing Arts faced the Eagles in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Learning Foundation & Performing Arts had just enough and edged the Eagles out 52-49.
Jabari Lee was his usual excellent self, scoring 16 points along with five rebounds and two steals. He is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was Thaddeus Hawkins, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and two blocks.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 77-33, which was the final score in Skyline Prep's tilt against the Storm on Friday. While losing is never fun, Skyline Prep can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 217th, while the Storm are ranked 11th).
Learning Foundation & Performing Arts' victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-3. As for Skyline Prep, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-17 record this season.
