Tatum dropped down to 15-4 on Saturday, ending the team's five-game streak of wins. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 45-44 to the Texico Wolverines. The Coyotes were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wolverines earlier this season, when they won 43-41.

As for Texico, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 15-6. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.8 points over those games.

Texico had a senior duo take command as Kinzee Crow posted nine points in addition to seven rebounds and five assists and Macy Cline almost dropped a double-double with nine points and nine boards. Cline is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as she's posted one of at least 50% in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Kailie Wieland, who put up ten points and three steals.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Tatum is set to challenge their familiar foe Jal at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Texico will square off against rival Loving at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
