Volleyball Recap: Rock Springs Christian Academy Takes a Loss

After flying high against Covenant Academy on Monday, Rock Springs Christian Academy came back down to earth. The Eagles fell just short of the Konos Academy Condor by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. While the Eagles didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Condor 25-21 in the first set.

The 3-2 doesn't really show just how close this match was: all the sets Rock Springs Christian Academy lost were decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-23, 22-25, 27-25, 15-12.

Olivia Toney paced Rock Springs Christian Academy's offense, picking up 12 kills. Toney got some help from Lauren Harrell and her 15 assists. Finally, Toney was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high seven blocks.

Rock Springs Christian Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season. As for Konos Academy, the victory snapped their losing streak at seven games and leaves them with a 2-7 record.

Rock Springs Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Trinity Christian School of Griffin on the 28th. As for Konos Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against The Campus on the 28th.
