Baseball Recap: Mckeesport Falls to Penn Hills in First Game of Season

McKeesport kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Penn Hills Indians. The Tigers have struggled against the Indians recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meetings.

Matt Miller put in work while hitting and pitching. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-2.

McKeesport didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 10-2 defeat against South Allegheny on the 13th. As for Penn Hills, they will host Riverview at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
