Recap: Lake Region Thunder vs. Ridge Community Bolts
Even though the Lake Region Thunder have not done well against the Ridge Community Bolts recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Lake Region walked away with a 58-45 win over Ridge Community. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Lake Region.
It was another big night for Dwayne Lattimore, who scored 24 points along with five rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Christopher German, who scored eight points along with five steals.
Despite the loss, Ridge Community had strong showings from Eddy Hyppolite jr., who scored 15 points along with two steals, and Siled Morris, who scored 12 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Morris has scored all season.
Even though they lost, Ridge Community were working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lake Region only racked up three assists.
Lake Region now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Ridge Community, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lake Region will take on Davenport at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Davenport is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak. As for Ridge Community, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Kathleen at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Kathleen has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 11.
