Baseball Recap: Johnsonville Triumphs

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Johnsonville ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Lake View Wild Gators 5-4. The Flashes haven't had any issues with the Wild Gators recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Landyn Cribb was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jackson Eaddy, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Johnsonville's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games. As for Lake View, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Johnsonville will venture away from home to challenge Waccamaw at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Lake View, they will head out to take on Carvers Bay at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Carvers Bay will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Lake View surely won't give up without a fight.
