Recap: Glens Falls Indians vs. Gloversville Huskies/Dragons
The Glens Falls Indians have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 20 points or more this season. They took their matchup on the road on Monday with ease, bagging a 61-30 win over Gloversville. Given Glens Falls' advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 207th, while Gloversville is ranked 476th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Glens Falls' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gianna Endieveri, who scored 17 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Endieveri has scored at least 25% of Glens Falls' points. Darielle Gooden was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Glens Falls' victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-4. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.6 points per game. As for Gloversville, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
Glens Falls will be playing at home against Amsterdam at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Gloversville, they will head out on the road to face off against Broadalbin-Perth at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
