Volleyball Recap: Central Catholic Raiders vs. Dracut Middies
Central Catholic had lost seven straight at home dating back to last season, but on Monday they dropped their record down to 0-10 to make it eight. They fell just short of the Dracut Middies by a score of 3-2. The Raiders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Middies apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.
As for Dracut, their win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted since April 12, 2024.
Dracut can attribute much of their success to Jeremy Tong, who had 15 digs and one assist. Those 15 digs gave Tong a new career-high.
Coincidentally, Central Catholic and Dracut will both be playing Essex Tech the next time they take the court. The Middies will host the Hawks at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Raiders will host them at 5:00 p.m. on the 6th.
