Columbus Christian extended their losing streak  (dating back to last season) to eight  on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 0-7 in the process. They lost  22-8 to the Edinburgh Lancers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lancers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  23-1  on Monday.
  Andrew Lucas stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: he went 1-for-3 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  RBI. That  stolen base was  his first of the season. Another player making a difference was  Canon Carr, who  got on base  in three of his four plate appearances with three  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  RBI.
As for Edinburgh, the  win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-13. The  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games.
On Edinburgh's side,  Cole White made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing 1.2 innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. White was even better at the plate,  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances with two  stolen bases, three  runs,  and one  triple.
 In other batting news, Edinburgh let  Ayden Swallows and  Milas Burkman run wild. Swallows  got on base  in four of his five plate appearances with three  stolen bases, two  runs,  and one  RBI, while  Burkman  got on base  in four of his five plate appearances with four  runs and two  stolen bases. What's more,  Swallows posted two  hits, the most he's  had since back in April.  Carter Mead-Whited was another key player,  going a perfect 1-for-1 with two  RBI and one  run.
 Coming up, Columbus Christian will welcome Tindley  at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Edinburgh, they will venture away from home to  face off against Jac-Cen-Del  at 5:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. The Lancers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 9  runs per game this season.
