Basketball Recap: Forks Proves Higher State Rank Is No Mistake

Forks won the last time they faced Hoquiam and things went their way on Friday too. The Forks Spartans strolled past the Hoquiam Grizzlies with points to spare, taking the game 64-48. Given the Spartans' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 72nd, while the Grizzlies are ranked 218th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The victory made it two in a row for Forks and bumps their season record up to 6-1. As for Hoquiam, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.

Forks won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Friday Harbor at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Hoquiam, they will also get right back to it: they'll take on Raymond/South Bend at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
