Softball Recap: University Snaps Seven-Game Streak of Wins at Home

University dropped their record down to 5-3 on Monday, which also ended the team's seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season. They lost 21-2 to the Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy Phoenix. The Hawks were red-hot at the plate heading into the game (they scored no less than ten runs in the five contests prior), but the Phoenix's pitchers proved too tough.

As for Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. The result was nothing new for Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy, who have now won nine contests by six runs or more so far this season.

For Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy's part, the team relied heavily on Sumalee Chanbunna, who got on base in four of her six plate appearances with one home run, five runs, and two RBI. Those five runs gave Chanbunna a new career-high. Mia Pizarro was another key player, getting on base in five of her six plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
