Basketball Recap: Northern Heights Comes Up Short

Northern Heights was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 58-24 loss at the hands of the Olpe Eagles. Having soared to a lofty 55 points in the game before, the Wildcats couldn't push the score so high this time.

Northern Heights' loss dropped their record down to 1-7-1. As for Olpe, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-1.

Northern Heights will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Mission Valley on February 7th. As for Olpe, they are taking a road trip to challenge Madison on Thursday. Olpe knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight games -- so hopefully Madison likes a good challenge.
