The Rockmart Yellowjackets and the Hokes Bluff Eagles will round out the year against one another at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday at. One thing working in Rockmart's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
Rockmart has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 25 points or more this season. They blew past Haralson County, posting a 94-32 win at home. That 94-32 margin sets a new team best for Rockmart this season.
Rockmart had a senior duo take command as Treylin Davis scored 27 points along with nine rebounds and five steals and Samuel Johnson scored 24 points along with five assists. That makes it nine consecutive games in which Davis has scored at least 25% of Rockmart's points. Trey Luke was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, Hokes Bluff came up short against Locust Fork on Thursday and fell 63-53.
Rockmart pushed their record up to 9-0 with that victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 83.0 points per game. As for Hokes Bluff, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-5 record this season.
