Basketball Recap: A+ Charter School Comes Up Short

A+ Charter School was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They were beaten by BASIS - Peoria 43-10. While losing is never fun, the Maricopa can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 271st, while BASIS - Peoria are ranked 112th).

Kaci Faber was her usual excellent self, going 8 of 12 en route to 17 points for BASIS - Peoria. That makes it four consecutive games in which Faber has scored at least a third of BASIS - Peoria's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Harshita Rajesh, who posted ten points.

A+ Charter School's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for BASIS - Peoria, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.

A+ Charter School won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Skyline Prep at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. BASIS - Peoria does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
