Basketball Recap: Monroe Comes Up Short

After flying high against Toledo last Friday, Monroe came back down to earth. The Monroe Dragons came up short against the East Linn Christian Academy Eagles on Tuesday, falling 58-36. The Dragons haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Monroe's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-6. As for East Linn Christian Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-5.

Monroe will be playing at home against Crosshill Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for East Linn Christian Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 53-26 win against Perrydale on the 22nd.
