Baseball Recap: Lane Tech Champions vs. Richards Bulldogs
Lane Tech barely beat Richards the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Champions were the clear victors by a 10-3 margin over the Bulldogs on Saturday. The Champions have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bulldogs, too.
Ronan Owens looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Teo Greco was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and two stolen bases. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Henry Murray, who went 3-for-5 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one double.

Lane Tech's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 25-10. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games. As for Richards, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 22-8.
Lane Tech does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Richards, they will face off against Stagg at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
