Basketball Recap: Evansville Christian Comes Up Short at Home Against Northeast Dubois

Evansville Christian unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 57-40 bruising from the Northeast Dubois Jeeps on Tuesday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it six in a row.

Despite the defeat, Evansville Christian had strong showings from Ozzie W Bates, who posted 14 points and five boards, and Michael Ragland, who scored 14 points. Ragland is also on a roll when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last three games he's played dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Evansville Christian will take on South Knox at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Northeast Dubois, they will challenge Washington Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
