Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Sickles walked away with it. They came out on top against the East Lake Eagles by a score of 75-64 on Friday. The victory was familiar territory for the Gryphons who have now won ten matches in a row.

Sickles got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Chase Weismiller out in front who went 7 of 12 en route to 20 points. Weismiller is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last three games he's played. Eddy Hernandez was another key player, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 14 boards.

East Lake lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jordan Bryant, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 13 rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Bryant a new career-high in field goal percentage (73%). Another player making a difference was Greg Samuels, who went 9 for 20 on his way to 22 points.

Sickles' victory bumped their record up to 19-8. As for East Lake, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 19-8.

Sickles will have a chance to go back-to-back against East Lake: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
