Lakewood Ranch is 3-0 against Cypress Creek since January of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Lakewood Ranch Mustangs are taking a road trip to square off against the Cypress Creek Coyotes at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Lakewood Ranch has seven straight wins, Cypress Creek has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

If Lakewood Ranch beats Cypress Creek with six goals on Friday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two matchups with that exact score. Lakewood Ranch blew past Manatee 6-1 on Wednesday. The Mustangs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by three goals or more this season.

They hit Manatee with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Broden Beorlegui (2), Gabriel Lara (2), Jaxon Lemus, and Jacob Gillson.

Meanwhile, Cypress Creek came up short against Wesley Chapel on Monday, falling 6-1. While losing is never fun, the Coyotes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 208th, while the Wildcats are ranked 77th).

Lakewood Ranch's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 32 goals over those six contests. As for Cypress Creek, they now have a losing record at 3-4.

Everything went Lakewood Ranch's way against Cypress Creek in their previous matchup back in January, as Lakewood Ranch made off with a 10-3 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lakewood Ranch since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
