Baseball Recap: IMG Academy White Comes Up Short

The IMG Academy White Ascenders lost 16-6 to the Evangelical Christian Sentinels on Saturday. The Ascenders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Aidan Sabean was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Owen Armstead, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

IMG Academy White's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Evangelical Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season.

IMG Academy White and Evangelical Christian could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings. IMG Academy White (ranked 367th) will meet Parrish Community (ranked 65th) at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Evangelical Christian will square off against Merritt Island at 3:00 p.m. on Monday down 246 places (334 vs. 88).
