Softball Recap: New Bremen Cardinals vs. Minster Wildcats

New Bremen lost a close one when they played last Monday but unfortunately for them the loss they were handed on Tuesday was a bit more commanding. They lost 15-4 to the Minster Wildcats. New Bremen has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

New Bremen saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mackenzie Bornhorst, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and a double.

On Minster's side, Mikaela Hoskins was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. Hoskins was also big at the plate, scoring a run while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.

In other batting news, Addison Inskeep was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with a home run, three runs, and two RBI. Hannah Oldiges was another key contributor, going 2-for-5 with a home run and five RBI.

New Bremen's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Minster, the victory was the 20th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 23-1.
