Hancock won the last time they faced Martinsburg and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 12-5 margin over the Bulldogs. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Brooklyn McCusker made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up five earned runs off seven hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

In other batting news, Makensie Boyer was a standout: she got on base in three of her five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That double was her first of the season. Madison Booth was another key player, going 1-for-5 with one home run and three RBI.

Hancock lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Hancock's record now sits at 3-5. As for Martinsburg, their defeat was their ninth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-14.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Bulldogs beat Hancock by a score of 11-0 later that day.
