Basketball Recap: Conway Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

It was a proper cat-fight when Conway faced off against Carolina Forest on Tuesday. The Conway Tigers managed a 43-39 win over the Carolina Forest Panthers. The victory continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won eight in a row.

Trevon Johnson was his usual excellent self, putting up 13 points along with six boards and six steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Jenkins, who posted nine points and seven rebounds.

Despite the defeat, Carolina Forest saw an underclassman step up: freshman JJ Gray went 6-for-10 on his way to 19 points and eight boards. Nick Zincone was another key player, earning three points.

Conway's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-4. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.9 points over those games. As for Carolina Forest, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-8.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Conway beat Carolina Forest by a score of 66-33 on Thursday.
