Arrowhead gave up the first runs on Thursday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Oconomowoc Raccoons, sneaking past 7-5. This was a revenge game for the Warhawks: when they faced off against the Raccoons on Tuesday, they had to take a 9-4 loss.

Cam Carter made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

In other pitching news, Tanner Buhlmann looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits (and only one walk).

Back at the plate, Graiden Liethen and Yamato Takahashi did most of the damage at the plate: Liethen went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double, while Takahashi got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one double. That's the most runs Takahashi has posted since back in April of 2024. Ethan Kirley also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Arrowhead now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Oconomowoc, they moved to 3-2 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Coming up, Arrowhead will host Whitnall at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Falcons will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Warhawks surely won't give up without a fight. As for Oconomowoc, they will square off against Hartford at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Raccoons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Orioles have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season.
