Basketball Recap: Prairiland Takes a Loss

Prairiland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Palmer Bulldogs 51-23.

Brookelyn Watts was a one-woman wrecking crew for Palmer as she dropped a double-double on 23 points and 11 boards. Watts is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last seven games she's played. Another player making a difference was Kenli Dobie, who posted nine points and seven rebounds.

Prairiland now has a losing record at 9-10. As for Palmer, with the win, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-15.

Prairiland will square off against Chisum at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Prairiland is facing Chisum at the right time seeing as Chisum is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Palmer, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 64-38 loss against Leonard on the 26th.
