Volleyball Recap: Redeemer Christian Takes a Loss + How To Watch

If Redeemer Christian was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of St. John Lutheran on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lions lost 3-0 to the Meadowbrook Academy Mustangs on Monday. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Mustangs recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

While Redeemer Christian was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Meadowbrook Academy's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-19, 25-23.

Meadowbrook Academy was led to victory by IVA FEARON and KARINA CHONG. FEARON had 29 assists and 11 digs, while CHONG had seven digs and three aces. FEARON is crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 19 every time she's taken the court this season.

Redeemer Christian's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-2. As for Meadowbrook Academy, they pushed their record up to 4-0 with the victory, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Redeemer Christian will square off against North Marion at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Meadowbrook Academy, they will challenge Seven Rivers Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
