Football Game Preview: North Mesquite Stallions vs. White Longhorns + How To Watch

The North Mesquite Stallions will venture away from home to face off against the White Longhorns at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

North Mesquite is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped last Thursday as they easily beat Molina 56-0. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Julien Simpson was his usual excellent self, rushing for 93 yards and three scores. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 60 yards. Terrance Collins was another key player, rushing for 66 yards and one touchdown on only five carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: North Mesquite was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 246 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 246 rushing yards in four consecutive matchups.

Special teams also played a big role in the game for North Mesquite, adding 20 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Simpson, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.

Meanwhile, White was fully in charge on Friday, breezing past Molina 55-9. The win continues a trend for the Longhorns in their matchups with the Jaguars: they've now won eight in a row.

North Mesquite picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 3-5. As for White, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

North Mesquite couldn't quite get it done against White in their previous meeting back in November of 2024 as they fell 48-41. Can the Stallions avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
