Baseball Recap: Northview Knights vs. Linton-Stockton Miners
Northview was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Linton-Stockton on Monday. The Knights blew past the Miners 7-1. The win was some much needed relief for the Knights as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Trey Edlridge spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on eight hits and racked up 11 Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time he's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, Quinn Lewis was a standout: he went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Derek Morrison, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
