Baseball Recap: Northview Wins Going Away Against Linton-Stockton

Northview was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Linton-Stockton on Monday. The Knights blew past the Miners 7-1. The win was some much needed relief for the Knights as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Trey Edlridge spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on eight hits and racked up 11 Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Quinn Lewis was a standout: he went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Derek Morrison, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

Northview was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .424. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2024.

The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 3-5. As for Linton-Stockton, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-3 record.

Looking ahead, Northview will host Owen Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Linton-Stockton, they will head out on the road to face off against Clay City at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
